When Shriya (Siri) Kolimi moved to the United States from India, she was determined to create a sense of belonging, wanting to find a home away from home. Originally planning to attend UC’s Uptown campus, Siri discovered UC Blue Ash and soon realized the welcoming community, small class sizes, and supportive environment made it the perfect place to find her footing and build meaningful connections.

Siri quickly became active on campus, serving not only as a Student Ambassador but also as Student Government President, where she helped elevate student voices and strengthen campus engagement. Her involvement led to the opportunity to join college and university leaders in speaking at the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly constructed Muntz Hall Atrium, sharing more about her journey and what the space means for students and campus life.

Siri’s leadership has opened new doors, helped her gain experience in event planning, and provided the opportunity to give back to the community that helped her grow.

Don’t be afraid to ask for help. There are a lot of people that will work with you to get you where you need to go.

Looking ahead, Siri is taking the next steps toward her future by completing her bachelor’s degree in business analytics and continuing to grow personally and professionally.
