Brando Vasquez's Student Ambassador Story

Brando Vasquez

  • Electrical Engineering major who is conducting his own experiment on stepping outside his comfort zone.
  • A self-described introvert who challenged himself to look for ways to get involved, make connections, and gain experience with public speaking.

Brando Vasquez

A first-generation college student and first-generation Mexican American, Brando Vasquez has already made a big impact at UC Blue Ash through his leadership and dedication. His involvement includes serving as a Student Orientation Leader, Student Ambassador, and Vice President of the Voces en Acción student organization.

For Brando, being a Student Ambassador has been both challenging and rewarding. He leads campus tours, supports a variety of campus events, and serves as a face of the college. As a self-described introvert, he’s proud of his growth as a public speaker, while also learning to balance leadership responsibilities with academics.

I never thought I'd be able to become a Student Ambassador, but here I am. As an introverted person, I can say that it's definitely possible to push yourself out of your comfort zone and take on leadership roles.

Brando Vasquez

Brando is pursuing a career in electrical engineering and taking the next steps toward his bachelor’s degree at UC’s College of Engineering and Applied Science. He also enjoys working on personal engineering projects to add to his courses and increase his academic growth.
