Science Learning Lab

The Science Learning Lab (SLL) provides academic support to students in Biology, Chemistry, Dental Hygiene, Nursing, Radiologic Technology, Veterinary Technology, and Allied Health science courses. The SLL provides free tutoring, as well as a place to study. Students using the SLL have access to computers, scientific calculators; (and some to loan out temporarily for coursework or exams), anatomical models, microscopes, radiological films, and supplementary textbooks and software. Some faculty members hold student hours in the SLL.

The SLL is for students enrolled in UCBA science courses. While students taking classes at other colleges are allowed in the SLL, our priority is UCBA students.

The SLL is staffed by four full-time academic tutors who thoroughly enjoy sharing their knowledge of science with students. The SLL also employes about seven part-time student tutors during busy times of the the day in the Fall and Spring semesters. They are also happy to help support student learning, especially since they recently completed courses students often have questions about. 

The SLL is a welcomming environment for all students. The SLL can provide caluable resources for you to succeed in your science courses. Stop by Walters Hall 200!
