When Nare Hakoyban chose UC Blue Ash for its smaller class sizes and welcoming environment, she didn’t realize how many ways she would become involved across campus. She soon discovered that our college offered more than just courses and academic support labs – she made meaningful connections and found multiple opportunities to contribute to the student experience.

Nare’s story begins with the Social Work Club, where she stepped into leadership roles as both Treasurer and Social Media Manager. That early involvement sparked her interest in student life and led her to become a Student Orientation Leader, opening the door to even more opportunities across campus, including an internship with the UC Blue Ash Bearcat Food Pantry. In that role, Nare helped distribute food and organize special events such as the free bagel giveaways every Wednesday.

These meaningful experiences led her to become a Student Ambassador and work closely within the mentorship program, where she helped plan and support events that guide new students through their college experience.

I chose to become a Student Ambassador to help out around campus, meet lots of different people, and make a good group of friends I can rely on.

Nare is taking the next step in campus leadership by serving as a Student Ambassador Intern for the 2026-27 academic year. Whether she’s working behind the scenes or connecting with students directly, Nare values being part of the efforts that make UC Blue Ash such a welcoming, accessible, and supportive campus community.
