Veterinary Technology
The Associate in Applied Science degree in Veterinary Technology is designed to train technicians to assist veterinarians in industry, medical centers and animal hospitals.Careers such as these require trained professionals who have knowledge and skills in all aspects of veterinary medicine. This program provides training in animal husbandry and restraint, nursing, surgical preparation and techniques, drug administration, anesthesia, anatomy, laboratory techniques and radiography. Preceptorships at various private practices and research institutions provide valuable on-the-job training.
