Health Sciences (Pre)

This program prepares students for application to the health sciences baccalaureate degree program in the College of Allied Health Sciences (CAHS). The curriculum consists of freshman and sophomore level courses for appliction to CAHS.


Where It Will Take You

Completion of the pre-health sciences program does not qualify students for any licensure or certification for employment. This program allows students to apply to the health sciences program in the CAHS on West Campus.


Transition-Oriented Program

Completion of the pre-health sciences associate degree program at UC Blue Ash College with subsequent completion of the health sciences baccalearueate degree program at CAHS may be completed in four years, with most students completing them in five years.

Pre-Health Sciences

What is Pre-Health Sciences?

This program prepares students for application to the health sciences baccalaureate degree program in the College of Allied Health Sciences (CAHS). The curriculum consists of freshman and sophomore level courses for appliction to CAHS.

Success Factors

Students selecting this major should be within the top 10 percent of their high school class academically with a strong background in math (algebra, trigonometry, calculus) and science (biology, chemistry, physics). Students should possess strong time management and interpersonal skills and enjoy physical work.

Career Possibilities

Completion of the pre-health sciences program does not qualify students for any licensure or certification for employment. This program allows students to apply to the health sciences program in the CAHS on West Campus.

Before entering upper division coursework, the HLSC Upper Level Progression Form must be completed and submitted during spring quarter prior to starting the junior year.
