Foundations of Python 1

Foundations of Python 1

The Foundations of Python workshop series is a comprehensive three-part Python series that focuses on the basic and intermediate concepts in Python. The workshops are taught using Google Colab, a cloud-based platform to run Python code. 

Designed for individuals with little or no technical background, this beginner-friendly workshop introduces the basic building blocks of Python, a widely used and versatile programming language. Participants will learn essential concepts such as variables and different data types - strings, lists, tuples, sets, dictionaries. This workshop will help in getting started with Python.

The last workshop in the Foundations of Python series, built upon the topics covered in Foundations 1 & 2. Basic knowledge of Python or attending the prior workshops is strongly recommended. This workshop delves deeper into intermediate concepts like classes & objects, modules, imports, packages, libraries, and file I/O. This workshop will enhance the understanding of core concepts of Python and will expand the skills to an advanced level.

Data Manipulation with Python

Data Manipulation with Python

Data Manipulation is the first part in a three-part ‘Working with Data in Python’ series taught on Google Colab. 

This hands-on workshop will dive into data manipulation using the powerful Pandas library. Participants will learn to work with Pandas dataframe objects and practice slicing and indexing, querying, running statistics, and grouping & aggregating on dataframe/series objects. Basic knowledge of Python or attending the Foundations of Python series is strongly recommended.
