A Word From The Dean
Welcome to UC Blue Ash College. We are excited about all of the momentum at our college as we mark our 50th Anniversary this year. Our college held its first classes on September 25, 1967, and we will celebrate this important milestone with events and special activities throughout the 2017-18 academic year.
UC Blue Ash was the first regional college created by the University of Cincinnati and one of the first in Ohio. It was founded to provide students with open access to a high-quality, authentic University of Cincinnati education in a suburban setting.
Our inaugural class had an enrollment of 632 students. Today, we have nearly 5,000 students and we continue to provide one of the best values in higher education, with rigorous academics, experienced and talented professors, low tuition, free academic labs, and small class sizes that allow for individual attention. We also feature nearly 50 academic degree programs, including bachelor’s degrees.
We are expanding our campus with the new Progress Hall and a major renovation project for Muntz Hall, enhancing our curriculum with new degree programs and flexible course schedules – including fully online courses, and offering opportunities for students to grow outside the classroom with programs like study abroad.
Our Mission Statement has been updated a few times over the past 50 years, but it remains consistent at its core. Everything we do is designed to help our students succeed academically, personally and professionally.
We are proud to celebrate 50 years of inspiring student success. It was our focus in 1967, it remains our top priority now, and it will always be at the center of our Mission at UC Blue Ash College.
