Have a Ball This Fall

on

Get ready to play ball! Intramural sports are a great way for students to have fun, meet new people and enjoy some friendly competition.

Beginning this fall, intramural sports will be added to the growing list of student activities available at UC Blue Ash. Volleyball, flag football and soccer will be the featured sports this year. The intramural program is open to all students and there is no cost to participate.

“UCBA is excited to offer this opportunity for students to have fun, to meet new friends and to enjoy some friendly competition,” says Nick Castro, assistant director of inclusion and involvement at UC Blue Ash. “We want students to have a great college experience during their time at UCBA, and intramural sports is just one of the many ways we make that happen.”

The games will be played on Mondays and Wednesdays at the field behind Muntz Hall from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Volleyball will be played in the quad (the green space between Muntz and Walters halls), at the same time. All participants must sign a mandatory waiver that will be emailed to all students who register to participate. The waivers are also available for pick-up in the Student Life office.

“This is a great opportunity for former high school athletes who want to keep playing sports… I can’t wait to see how the program grows this upcoming year,” says Charlotte Horton, who is a student and ambassador at UC Blue Ash.

Our Student Life Office is in charge of the intramural sports program. Contact Charlotte Horton at hortonct@mail.uc.edu or Nick Castro at castrons@ucmail.uc.edu for any questions or concerns.
