Study abroad can be a great opportunity for students who are interested in immersing themselves in another culture while taking courses that relate to the region, language and country they are visiting.

Enrollment for the 2019 UC Blue Ash Study Abroad programs is now open. There will be two programs offered to students: Great Britain (May 9 – June 7, 2019) and Perú (June 6 – June 24, 2019). Enrollment for the 2019 destinations will close on November 15, 2018.

Each of the programs offer a variety of experiences – from exploring different cities to seeing famous landmarks and taking independent day trips – for students to enjoy while also earning credits towards their degree.

Getting Informed

There will be a free Study Abroad Luncheon on Thursday, September 20 from 12:30-2:00 p.m. in Muntz Hall, Room 170 for anyone interested in learning more about the program. Students from the 2018 Study Abroad programs will be there to share their experiences and there will be information about the 2019 programs.

What to Expect:

The Great Britain program offers two courses – one focused on writing and the other on visual storytelling. Students can take one, or both courses, and will study British culture with UCBA professors while traveling to:

• Harlaxton Manor, Grantham, England
• London, England
• Llandudno, Wales

Contact Professor Sue Sipple (susan.sipple@uc.edu) for more information about studying abroad in Great Britain.

The Perú program offers one course and the opportunity for students to improve their Spanish by taking language classes with Peruvian instructors and studying the culture with their UCBA professor. Students will partake in multiple excursions on the weekends to:

• Cusco
• Machu Picchu
• Sacred Valley of the Incas
• Lima

Contact Professor Angie Woods (angie.woods@uc.edu) for more information about studying abroad in Perú.
