Summit Park Brings the Fun to Blue Ash

on

Being a college student can be exhausting and stressful. If you ever find yourself needing a break from your studies then go right around the corner to Summit Park.

The park is located in the center of Blue Ash (near the intersection of Reed Hartmann and Glendale-Milford Roads) and is less than a mile from the UC Blue Ash campus. It features four restaurants, walking trails, a 125-foot observation tower, community room and so much more over the course of its 130 acres.

The observation tower is a recent addition to the park and offers two observation decks at 125 feet or 26 feet. From the tallest deck viewers can see downtown Cincinnati, the King’s Island Eiffel Tower and other familiar landmarks. The lower deck offers a beautiful overview of Summit Park. The tower is open 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday–Thursday and 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday–Sunday. It is free to visit.

Summit Park has restaurants that include The Senate, Tahona Kitchen & Bar, and Brown Dog Café. Nanny Belle’s also offers ice cream and snacks. For those interested in physical activity, there are paved walking trails, yoga classes and, during the winter months, an ice skating rink.

Ride a bike – on the trails or to your next class!

The park has just started a bike share program. While rides must begin and end at a station, the built-in lock on the bike allows users to ride as long as they want, wherever they want! There are more than 50 bikes located across eight stations – including two at Summit Park, one in downtown Blue Ash and one at the Blue Ash Recreation Center.

Riders can pay per ride or opt for an annual membership. University of Cincinnati students can get discounts on rides or a UC student membership. Rides start out at $1 and there is a mobile app available for users to view stations, unlock bikes and pay for rides or memberships.

Festivals, Farmer’s Markets and more!

• The Farmer’s Market will continue on Wednesday’s from 3:30 to 7:00 p.m. until September 26.
• There will be Thursday night concerts at the park September 6 – September 27 from 6-8 p.m.
• The Cincinnati Food Truck Association Food Fest is September 22 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• Paws in the Park will be at the park on October 6 from 12-3 p.m.

There are activities and events taking place at Summit Park all year round! Join the fun and visit the website for a full list of schedules, times and events.
