UC Blue Ash Offers Healthy Heroes Summer Camp for Kids

The Allied Health Department at the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College will host a new summer camp for kids in July.

The Healthy Heroes Summer Camp is designed for children who will be entering the 4th, 5th or 6th grades in the upcoming school year and who have an interest in learning more about their health and possible career options in health care. It will be held on the UC Blue Ash College campus July 23–27, from 8:00 a.m.–noon each day. The cost is $75 per child; that includes a free t-shirt and goodie bag.

The camp will be led by faculty members at UC Blue Ash and will focus on fun, fitness, education and safety. There will also be age-appropriate training in CPR certification.

“We’ll have a lot of fun activities for the kids, both indoors and outside, and there will be an educational component. Participants will learn about how the brain works, how our bones grow, the value of nutrition and fitness, and basic first-aid and safety practices,” says Julie Gill, chair of the Allied Health Department and coordinator of the Healthy Heroes Summer Camp at UC Blue Ash College.

The camp is limited to the first 30 who register. All registrations must be submitted by July 18, 2018. If you have questions, please call 513-936-1631.

Register your child at the Healthy Heroes webpage.
