50th Anniversary Alumni Panel at UC Blue Ash

on

As part of the 50th Anniversary celebrations at the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College, alumni representing five different decades will take part in a special event on campus. The UC Blue Ash College 50th Anniversary Speaker Series Alumni Panel will be held on Wednesday, February 21 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. in Walters Hall, Room 100. This event is free and open to the public.

UC Blue Ash opened in 1967 and is celebrating its 50th Anniversary throughout the 2017-18 academic year.

The panel will feature alumni who graduated from the college in the 1970s, 80s, 90s, 2000s and the current decade. They will compare their experiences at UC Blue Ash as it has evolved from one of the first regional colleges in Ohio, with just over 600 students, to a thriving campus with nearly 50 degree programs and 5,000 students. They will also share insight on how they made the adjustment to college life and how those experiences helped shape their academic and professional success.

“This should be a fun event as we hear from some of our amazing alumni who came to us at different times and from different backgrounds. They represent the various eras of our college and highlight the experiences of traditional, first-generation and non-traditional students,” said Robin Lightner, interim dean of UC Blue Ash College, who will serve as the moderator.

A reception will be held immediately following the event where guests can meet and interact with the panelists.

This event is free but seating is limited. Anyone who plans to attend is encouraged to register in advance at www.ucblueash.edu/alumnipanel.
