Disability Awareness Month is designed to bring both awareness of and affirmation to persons with a disability. Though many people are familiar with the challenges and triumphs of people with physical disabilities, there are so many more people that have invisible disabilities who with support are able to thrive in their lives as well.

Join us for some exciting events:

Disability Awareness Month Kick-off: October 4, 12 – 2 p.m., Muntz Hall Commons

Wheelchair Sports Demonstration: October 17, 12 – 2 p.m., Muntz Courtyard

Perspectives on Disabilities Seminar by Slammin’ John: October 20, 12 – 1 p.m., Muntz 119 Lobby

Meet the Author of “Look Me in the Eye”: October 26, 5 – 7 p.m., take our shuttle to UC Uptown, Tangeman Center

During Disability Awareness Month, it’s important to note the UC Blue Ash College has changed the name of our offices from the Disability Services Office to theAccessibility Resources Office in an effort to be more inclusive of all the students that we serve.

Our Mission

The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College Accessibility Resources office (AR) seeks to ensure that all students with a documented disability can freely and actively participate in all facets of college life.

Accessibility Resources creates opportunities for and promotes educational experiences, advocacy, and enrichment to persons with disabilities.

Accessibility Resources also seeks to increase the awareness and training among the UC Blue Ash College community so that students with disabilities continue to be perceived as people with promise.
