If you have an associate degree and are thinking about completing your bachelor’s, the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College is offering free information sessions on the Applied Administration bachelor’s degree program. In most cases, students with an associate degree in an applied or technical field (AAB, AAS, or ATS) can enroll as a junior and complete their bachelor’s degree from UC in as little as two years.

The free information sessions will be held on October 18, 2017 from 12:30–1:30 p.m. and October 26, 2017 from 6:00–7:00 p.m. on the UC Blue Ash campus. They feature an overview from professors in the program, testimonials from recent alumni, insight about the courses, and details about tuition and the enrollment process. Free pizza and refreshments will be provided.

Haley Fritz is a graduate of the Applied Administration program. She manages her own event planning company and is pursuing her MBA at UC Uptown.

The Applied Administration bachelor’s degree program (also called the Bachelor’s in Technical and Applied Studies) is designed for anyone with an associate degree in an applied or technical field who wants to advance their education and career. Courses provided cover areas that include human resource practices, ethics, team building, and professional writing.

“This program teaches students the soft skills that most companies look for in their leaders, such as strategic planning, collaboration and communication,” says Michele Kegley, business professor and program director for the Applied Administration program at UC Blue Ash. “Many of our graduates are able to move into supervisory roles in their field and some choose to keep going and pursue their master’s degree in business administration.”

Studies by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics show that a person with a bachelor’s degree earns about 30% more income than they would with an associate degree.

The information sessions are free, but seating is limited. To register for the Applied Administration information session, go to www.ucblueash.edu/appliedinfo.  You can also learn more about the program at www.ucblueash.edu/btas.
