UC Blue Ash College is Tobacco Free! – Details, Activities, and Events.

on

As we begin another semester, we continue to pride ourselves on being a tobacco-free campus. May 1, 2017, all UC campuses (including UC Blue Ash College) officially went tobacco free, so this will be the first full academic year of this new policy. We want to support and help promote healthy habits for every student, faculty member, and any visitor to our campus. This semester we’ve put together lots of fun, helpful, and informative opportunities as part of our tobacco-free initiative.

TOBACCO FREE MOVIE: THURSDAY AUGUST 31 AT 2:00 p.M. IN WALTERS 100

Come watch a fascinating documentary on the history of tobacco use in the United States and the changing attitudes toward smoking over the last century. Enjoy drinks and popcorn as we explore how tobacco has been portrayed in the media and the role that advertising has played in increasing the popularity of this highly addictive drug. A discussion will follow the movie, and a Tobacco Free UC prize will be distributed to all attendees.

We look forward to a successful year of creating a Tobacco Free environment! For more information on our tobacco-free policies or to obtain a free smoking cessation kit and/or a free sample of nicotine replacement therapy, please email heather.vilvens@uc.edu
