50th Anniversary

Video: New Building Construction Timelapse

After extensive planning, years of internal budgeting, 16 months of construction, 75 tons of steel, 3,500 square feet of windows/glass, 70,000 square feet of drywall, 140 tons of brick, and loads of anticipation, Progress Hall is now open and ready! Our newest addition to the UCBA campus was constructed to accommodate overflow during renovations to Muntz Hall, and to keep up with our ever-growing enrollment (we expect to welcome our largest incoming class ever this fall!)

This new structure is both eco-friendly and occupant-friendly, featuring low‐flow plumbing fixtures to reduce water usage, occupancy sensors to automatically turn lights off when rooms are unoccupied, and a broad, overhanging roof that admits winter sunlight but provides shade from summer sun.

Progress Hall offers 8 classrooms, 19 offices, and plenty of open space for students to work, relax, and study both inside and outside on the patio.

Take a  journey through the construction of Progress Hall through this new video. Kudos to our Facilities Management team, the construction crew, and Pete Bender for working diligently to capture the making of Progress Hall!
