The 2017 CincinniADDYS were presented in March at Memorial Hall in Over-the-Rhine. Logsdon earned one of only three student Gold ADDY awards that were presented in the Cincinnati market. She was recognized for art direction and design of her degree capstone project, a fashion magazine titled Apotheosis. She also won a Silver ADDY for her photography that was featured in the same magazine publication.

“I took on Apotheosis because I wanted to implement the ideas that have lived in my head,” says Logsdon. “Fashion grows in cities, it doesn’t just exist. The rush I get when the lighting is finally perfect, seeing the lights play well with the subject illuminating a work of art; I relate in this way. My hope is that this magazine will take me to new job opportunities and new cities with the goal of bringing back a new perspective to growing Cincinnati.”

Logsdon recently started a new position as a visual merchandising team leader for Target and is based in Austin, Texas.  Her eMedia professor, H. Michael Sanders, accepted the awards on her behalf. The ADDY Awards highlight the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition. Across the nation, local entrants compete for ADDY awards as the very best in their respective markets. Winners then compete in one of 15 district competitions, with these winners sent to the national competition. A gold ADDY is recognition of the highest level of creative excellence and is judged to be superior to all other entries in the category. All CincinnADDYs entries were judged for their creativity, originality and strategy by a three-judge panel of creative professionals from other major markets.
