The next edition in the UC Blue Ash College Entrepreneur Speaker Series (ESS) will feature the leaders of some very successful startups.
The event, which is free and open to everyone, will give the audience the opportunity to hear from a panel of local business owners who found a niche and built their companies from the ground up. It will be held on Wednesday, March 8 from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. in Muntz Auditorium on the UC Blue Ash campus and will be followed by a free reception where attendees can meet the guests.
The featured guests will be David Gaines, owner of La Terza Artisan Coffee Roasterie; Garrett Hickey, managing brewer at Streetside Brewery; and Natasia Malaihollo, founder of Wyzerr, a market research company. Kent Lutz, professor of business and economics at UC Blue Ash, will interview the guests about their experiences and will encourage questions from the audience.
“I’m excited about this event,” says Lutz. “We have a panel of young, highly successful entrepreneurs who will provide invaluable insight into what it takes to create a profitable startup today and the potential pitfalls that must be avoided.”
The speaker series was developed in 2014 by Lutz and features successful entrepreneurs from the region sharing helpful advice for anyone who is or may become interested in operating their own business. Past guests include Jeff Wyler of the Wyler Automotive Group; Buddy LaRosa, founder of LaRosa’s Pizza; Craig Kurz, owner of Honeybaked Ham; Patty Brisben, founder of Pure Romance; and Tony Maas, president of The J.T.M. Food Group.
The event is free but seating is limited. To register for the UC Blue Ash College Entrepreneur Speaker Series and to see videos from past editions, go to www.ucblueash.edu/ess. For more information regarding the March 8 event, call (513) 936-1632.
