New Video Highlights UC Blue Ash College

November 18, 2013 – ‘Success is Your Destination’ is the title of a new song and video about the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College.  The song was commissioned by the college and written and performed by local rap artists MC Forty and Wonder Brown, who both have ties to UC.  MC Forty is a junior at the main campus in Clifton and Wonder Brown is a former student at UC Blue Ash.

The duo perform on the new video that also features students, faculty and staff from the college lip-synching to the song as different segments were shot around the scenic 135-acre campus located in Blue Ash.

“We’re serious about the commitment to our students, but we also like to have some fun,” said Dr. Cady Short-Thompson, Dean of UC Blue Ash. “This video really is a fun, creative way to show off our college and celebrate the important advantages we provide – a commitment to exceptional teaching, outstanding support services, and access to a UC education.”

The rappers were commissioned by Dean Short-Thompson to develop the song and perform it at orientation sessions and other events at the college.  In ‘Success is Your Destination,’ they talk about why a college degree is important and how UC Blue Ash provides the resources and opportunity to help students make it happen.

The video is creating a buzz across the college campus and was nearing more than 1,000 views on YouTube just one day after its release.  You can watch the new video the UC Blue Ash YouTube page (www.youtube.com/ucblueash), its Facebook page (www.facebook.com/ucblueash), and its website at www.ucblueash.edu.
