CT and MRI Continuing Education Events

Earn your 16 credits needed to sit for the ARRT certification exam. Topics include sectional anatomy, pathology, patient care and safety, imaging procedures, image production, physics and instrumentation.

UC Blue Ash College is proud to offer a two-day continuing education event where participants can earn the 16 credits needed to sit for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification exam with sessions on either Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) or Computerized Tomography (CT).

The MRI Session and the CT Session have each been approved for 16 Category A continuing education credits by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists.

Event Details:

  • Cost is $250 per participant (non-refundable)
  • You have the choice of either participating in the MRI session or the CT session as a part of the CE event
  • Either of the MRI and CT sessions consist of 16 continuing education credits
  • Lunch is provided on both Saturday and Sunday
  • Registration is required and seating is limited

Haller Thomas-35

Thomas Haller, AAS, RT(R)(CT)(MR)

Thomas Haller, AAS, RT(R)(CT)(MR) is currently employed as the Lead Application Engineer in Information Systems for TriHealth, Inc. He earned his associate of applied science degree with a major in Radiologic Technology from the University of Cincinnati and has completed coursework toward a bachelor of radiation science degree. He has been a radiologic technologist since 1980 and has professional practice experience in CT, MRI, supervision, quality assurance, bone densitometry, and as an adjunct faculty member for Xavier University and the University of Cincinnati. He has earned several certification for Epic Systems and has delivered multiple presentations to technologists at the local, state, and national levels.

Barry Southers, MEd, RT(R)(MR)

Barry Southers, MEd, RT(R)(MR) serves as Assistant Professor Educator in the Advanced Medical Imaging Technology program for the University of Cincinnati College of Allied Health Sciences. He is the Director of the MRI section of that program. He earned his associate of applied science degree in Radiologic Technology from Lexington Community College and his bachelor or radiation science technology and master of education degrees from the University of Cincinnati. He has medical imaging experience as a radiologic technologist, MRI technologist, and MRI research associate. He is the Past-President of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine – Society for MR Radiographers and Technologists section and serves as Chair of that organizations Awards and Nominations Committee. He also serves on the ISMRM-SMRT Executive, Online Learning, Marketing, and Global Relations Committees. He has delivered multiple presentations at the local, state, national, and international levels.

Tiffany Roman, MAEd, RT(R)(MR)(CT) 

Tiffany Roman, MAEd, RT(R)(MR)(CT) serves as Assistant Professor and Clinical Coordinator for the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College Radiologic Technology program, which is where she earned her associate of applied science degree with a major in Radiologic Technology in 1999. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Health Professions/Advanced Imaging from Kettering College of Medical Arts and her master of arts degree in Education from the University of Phoenix. She has professional practice experience in CT, MR, corporate applications, and as a faculty member. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the Ohio Society of Radiologists where she co-chairs the Marketing and Sales Committee. For the American Society of Radiologic Technology she serves on the R.T. Advocacy Subcommittee, is a Leadership Academy graduate, and served on the Radiography Practice Standards Revision Committee in 2016 and on the MR Curriculum Revision Committee in 2013-2014.


Hemme

Elizabeth Hemme, MS, RT(R)(CT)

Elizabeth Hemme, MS, RT(R)(CT) is currently employed as an advanced special procedures technologist in the cardiac catheterization lab at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. She earned her associate of applied science degree with a major in Radiologic Technology from the University of Cincinnati. She also earned bachelor of radiation science technology and master of science degrees from UC. She is also employed as an adjunct instructor for the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College. She has professional practice experience as a radiologic technologist and CT technologists. For the Ohio Society of Radiologic Technologists she serves as the Editor of the Cardinal Rays bi-monthly newsletter.
